Blog and Roll

Hello, dear reader! It’s been a while since I posted anything on this blog (although, check out the new logo peeps!). At the beginning of June, I thought it would be wise to let black bloggers build up the recognition they deserve. Whilst the Black Lives Matter movement is ever-ongoing (and so it should), I believe now is the best time for me to come back.

One of Those Bloggers

If you’re a regular follower of this blog (aka an absolute legend), you’ll have seen that I frequently take breaks from blogging. Okay…let’s call a spade a spade – I am not a structured blogger. When I first started Earth, Mind & Fire, I was determined to post once a week, every week for the rest of my life. For the most part, I have done that, but I do take weeks, and sometimes a month away. This is due to busy schedules, my depression and my desire to produce quality posts that add value. I won’t ever be the blogger who spends hours sculpting the perfect instagram fanbase. I would rather you wait for a few weeks for a post that means something.

Minimalism + Blogging

I truly believe that this is what minimalism has taught me. Remember when I published Minimal Media? I said that I would reduce my social media presence, and so I have. I rarely post anything other than links and images relating to my blog, and I refuse to sellout to advertisements. Also, I have started setting limits on how much content I take in – this isn’t personal, I simply wish to live my life less on social media.

So here we are! A little explanation on how my blog works. I can’t guarantee that you’ll see me next week or the week after, but stay with me and I promise to keep you smiling through this shitty time.

Stay safe and I will see you next time x
