These are unprecedented times. Not only does coronavirus continue to ravage our world, but since the abhorrent murder of George Floyd and countless other innocent black people in America, the Black Lives Matter movement rightly captivated our attention.
In an ideal world, I would be using this platform to promote all the rainbow gloriousness of Pride – but we don’t live in that world. Pride began because of valiant black men, women and drag performers, and it would ignorant to silence their voices.
As homage to the heroes of the Pride movement, and the soldiers fighting for equality, I will instead only post resources and images of the BLM movement throughout June, and beyond. I am a privileged, white woman and although I haven’t experienced hatred because of my skin, I will do whatever I can to support my black brothers and sisters.
We have Pride because of you, and we will not forget you x
